How to disrespect Gerrard and get away with it

THROUGHOUT his career, Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard has been known as a midfield dynamo who is not one to shy away from challenges.

You can hardly get away with disrespecting the newly-crowned football writers’ Player of the Year without being shown up by the Huyton native…not unless you’re just a little boy.

Check out this little Chelsea fan who had the cheek to turn his nose on the Liverpool captain in the players’ tunnel before the game between Chelsea and Liverpool. Hilarious.

HERE’S a funny sports advertisement (I am not promoting their product, I just love the content of the ad). It may be CGI, but it is always funny to see a squirrel playing the Beautiful Game. Enjoy!

LITTLE was known about the Italian youngster who would now be Manchester United’s hero of the day, after scoring the sensational late winner against Aston Villa last night.

In this YouTube video, you would see the former Lazio academy graduate score a hat-trick in a reserve game that immediately precedes the Aston Villa game. Seems like the youngster had some experience coming back from behind.

Relive the Robo-Crouch

AND SO, Peter Crouch introduced a new dance move – the “Pull the Rope” – when he scored England’s opening goal against Ukraine this morning, one that will surely invite as many spoofs and even copycats as his original “Robot Dance”.

The video above relives the moment where the world was first introduced to the “Robo-Crouch”. Enjoy!

Goal? Goal? Goal? No! Goal!

POP QUIZ: How do you score four times in less than five minutes, and you are only one goal to the good? (No, it’s not because of offside)

In the above video, a penalty was re-taken four times before the referee allowed the last one to stand. It could have been half a penalty shootout in itself already!

Tribute to David Beckham

YOU MAY not love him, but you have to respect the man for his skill and dedication.

David Beckham outcapped Bobby Moore on Sunday morning when he came on in the second half against Slovakia to earn his 109th cap.

Here are some of Golden Balls’ best goals throughout his entire career, as judged by YouTube user gonped20. Enjoy!

Worst penalty ever?

Filed under: Postman Webcasts — thetnppostman @ 12:00 pm

ROBERTO Baggio, David Beckham, John Terry, Cristiano Ronaldo – they’ve all missed crucial penalties where you can almost hear the whole world go “#&$@*^“, but above is probably the worst penalty you would ever see in a competitive match, although the bad pitch must be taken into account.

Enjoy!

Ball boy scores goal in Brazil

HERE’S another weird, weird incident in the world of sports.

In the video, a ball boy recovers the ball after a failed goal attempt and taps it into the goal, and the referee actually allowed the goal to stand after consulting the assistant referee.

If only all referees were this entertaining…

PREMIERSHIP referees are recently in the spotlight, after the FA rescinded Brad Friedal’s red card against Liverpool, leaving the American keeper free to face Manchester United next weekend.

To diffuse the tension a little, here’s a look at a highly entertaining referee at work. If only all were like him, Rooney and co. will think twice before haranguing referees.

Enjoy!
